FurBabies & Friends is a small, nearly all 5 STAR rated, licensed, female owned total pet care provider.  We provide complete animal care services to the North, Central and West Valley of Phoenix, AZ.  Most importantly, the team is comprised of bonded, insured, and background checked pet sitters, dog trainers, dog groomers, and dog walkers.  Furthermore, we take a loving approach with a positive reinforcement belief toward all services.

Our Positive Reinforcement Philosophy Applies to Every Pet Service Offered

FurBabies & Friends uses a reward based positive reinforcement method to all pet care services, especially dog and puppy training.  Reputable studies show the benefits of this approach versus the heavier handed and physical technique used 20 years ago.  Old training theories were about showing "dominance," creating "submission" or coercing compliance with the use of fear or pain. While these techniques may have application to life or death situations, they do not belong in the companion animal world.  Just like quality human relationships, a human to canine relationship should be built on trust, loyalty and respect.  In order to help the pet sitters and clients remember aspects of a solid relationship, owner and head dog trainer Kristie Halverson, created an infographic inspired by Aretha Franklin's famous RESPECT song.

To demonstrate the teams professionalism and pet passion, we offer free meet and greets.  These meetings are a great way to build your trust and help you and your family feel comfortable leaving pets in our care.  Clearly, these meetings are our interview.  Feel free to ask questions, see how your pets interact with us, and show us around your home.  Subsequently, understanding your animal care routine ensures we provide the same level of care while you're away.  For continuity, we use the six standardized forms that are easily accessible in our system.
