1/2/27 Beginner Obedience Dog Training Class, 4:00 PM is a 6-week group dog training class designed for friendly dogs and handlers who want better everyday manners, focus, leash skills, recall, and obedience around real-world distractions. This class is hosted by FurBabies & Friends and uses positive reinforcement, force-free training methods.

• Name recognition and handler focus
• Sit, down, stand, stay, release, and off
• Come when called and beginner recall skills
• Loose leash walking and polite leash handling
• Building confidence around mild distractions
• Real-world practice in a park setting

This class is ideal for friendly dogs who are new to formal obedience training or need a stronger foundation in everyday manners. It is best suited for dogs who can safely participate in a group setting around people and other dogs.

Requirements:

• Pre-registration is required
• Proof of current vaccinations is required, including Rabies, Distemper/Parvo or DAPP, and Bordetella
• A signed release of liability is required
• Dogs must be safe in a group setting
• Bring high-value treats, water, and a standard leash
• Retractable leashes are not allowed

Schedule and Format:

This class includes 6 sessions over 6 weeks. Each session is 1 hour.

The class meets Saturdays, January 2, 2027 through February 6, 2027, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
