This 6-week positive reinforcement puppy training class is designed to help young puppies build confidence, manners, focus, socialization skills, and a strong training foundation.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility. This class helps puppy parents learn how to communicate clearly with their puppy while teaching practical skills that support better behavior at home and in public.
This class is a great first step for puppies who are ready to begin structured group training in a safe, supportive outdoor environment.

The goal of this class is to help your puppy become more confident, focused, and responsive while helping you become a clearer, more effective handler. We use force-free, positive reinforcement training methods to reward good choices, build trust, and create a strong foundation for future obedience training.
This class is not just about teaching cues. It is about helping your puppy learn how to work with you, recover from distractions, and build confidence in the real world.
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test is included as part of the class. Puppies who successfully complete the program and pass the test may be eligible for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy recognition. Kristie is an approved AKC CGC Evaluator and will administer the test.
Pet parents are responsible for submitting any official AKC paperwork or title application directly through AKC after passing.
Puppies must be at least 4 months old and under 1 year old at the start of class. Puppies must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and all 3 Distemper/Parvo puppy vaccines. This class is for puppies who can safely participate in a small outdoor group class setting. A signed liability waiver is required.
No shock, prong, or choke collars are permitted.
